Turbidity and Suspended Solids Sensors are
highly accurate nephalometric and absorption systems using optically
ground focused lenses to monitor and control your application. Thanks
to the latest technology, it has become possible to measure turbidity
and solids content with only one sensor. The sensor has a flat face
without crevices which means fouling is almost eliminated. This
makes them ideal for food, water and wastewater applications.
A
single sensor can accurately monitor drinking water after filtration
while monitoring the high contamination back flush cycle at several
thousand NTU. An integral automatic wiper can be provided for very
fatty or oily applications. Drains in the Dairy and Food industry
and high temp chemical recovery circuits are typical applications.
The sensors are of 316 Stainless steel with sapphire, optically
ground lenses to ensure they are almost impervious to chemical and
mechanical damage. The small size (38 mm dia.) of the body and flat
face allows installation into even small lines and drains without
restricting flow.

The
s::can spectro::lyser. Versatility and precision.
The
revolutionary s:;can spectro::lyser is a multi parameter submersible
UV/Vis spectrophotometer. This unique technology allows you to measure
numerous parameters including turbidity and suspended solids that
usually require the use of several different cabinet analysers.
Parameter concentrations from g/l down to the µg/l region are
calculated from the complete UV/Visible spectrum, enabling
a level of precision and long term stability that has not been possible
until now. The s::can spectro::lyser can be operated in the internal
data-logger mode, via PC/laptop, or via our industrial terminal
"con::stat".
The
number of concurrently available parameters is relatively unrestricted
and pre set "global "calibrations for many applications
are readily available.
All
of the functions of a high quality 2-beam laboratory spectrometer
are packed into the ultra-compact and robust field instrument. s::can's
advanced software options allow the utilisation of the spectral
information for rapid and effective investigative work on almost
any liquid stream from dirty industrial to ulrtrapure water.

s::can
spectro::lyers for Drinking Water and Enviromental Monitoring
In
order to prevent any jeopardy to the drinking water consumers' health,
the measure data must be available continuously and without
delay. This is the only way to allow quick reaction
to changes in the water quality. These requirements can only
be fulfilled by on-line assessment of the raw and drinking water
qualities.

Removal
of Organics during Water Treatment Studies Using the s::can spectro::lyser
Organic
material that is not removed by conventional water treatment contributes
to a number of problems in modern water supply systems.
The s::can spectro::lyser offers the opportunity to rapidly study
the effect of treatment over a full range of wavelengths, at multiple
sites without having to wait for laboratory data.
